💬Description

FR 1 80 Blue Grey — a hard boot inline skate built for urban and freestyle skating, made for intermediate to advanced skaters.

Responsive. Direct power transfer and quick-reacting frame — tight turns feel effortless.

7-Hole Energy Plates. Two distinct mounting positions (165 + 180mm) — switch frames without changing boots.

Underneath: FR 4D Frame. Aluminum, 165 + 180mm mounting, MW9 bearings, and FR Liner.

243mm frame and 4 x 80mm/84A wheels.

Locked in by Top Metal Buckle, Ratchet Mid Buckle, and Standard Laces.

Best for: Urban · Freestyle
Skill level: Intermediate to Advanced
Includes: 7-hole energy plates

👟 Fit: open over the instep

FR shell (FR1, FR2, FR3, FRX) on the left, open over the instep with the liner showing; FR Neo shell on the right, closed over the forefoot

Open over the top of the foot. The FR shell on the FR1, FR2, FR3 and FRX is cut away over the top of the foot from the toe cap to the straps, so only the soft liner sits on your instep. That suits feet that get pressed on the instep in other skates. The shell is wide, and the liner is thick when new, so allow a few sessions for it to pack down.

In the photo, FR is on the left and the FR Neo on the right. If you have had pain at the top of your foot in skates before, go for the FR shell instead of the FR Neo shell.

📏FR Skate Size Chart

FR freeride / freestyle skates come in single EU sizes. Measure your foot length in cm and match it to the EU row below. The Shell column is the shared shell size — useful for replacement shells and frames. Watch the size-guide video below for a step-by-step fit.

How to measure: Place a sheet of paper against a wall on a hard floor. Stand on it with your heel against the wall and mark the tip of your longest toe. Measure the distance in centimetres — that cm value is your size.

Foot (cm)	EU	US	UK	Shell
22	34	3	2	2
22.5	35	4	3	4
23	36	4.5	3.5	4
23.5	37	5	4	4

Width Guide

Narrow Narrow Medium Medium Medium Wide Wide

FR freeride / freestyle skates (FR1 / FRX / FR2 / FR3) are a Narrow Medium width.

Model Cut

Standard FR cut, suitable for most feet. FR skates also come in Narrow and Medium widths — check the model. Match your foot length in cm to the EU row above.

Fitting for COMFORT

Round up if your measurement falls between two sizes for a roomier fit.

Fitting for PERFORMANCE

Buy your exact size (round down between sizes) and remove the insole during break-in for a snug freeride fit.

Shell

One shell is shared across neighbouring sizes (see the Shell column); replacement shells and frames follow this number.

Liner

FR liners break in and mould to the foot — expect a snug fit when new.

Insoles

A thinner insole adds about half a size of space.

✓ How it should feel

Snug all-around with toes touching or reaching the front. The liner packs out a little after a few sessions.

✗ How it should NOT feel

Toes curling up, the foot sliding around, or the heel lifting once buckled.

EU 42Reviewed on FR 1 80 Black Skates
My order arrived complete and correct, all skates, protections, bearings, wheels and other accessories in good condition.

A detail in the shipment, I ordered pre-order items and when the items arrived at InlineX they notified me that their provider sent my order in two shipments, which delayed the order.

And of course I will place orders again in the near future.
