💬Description
💬Description
Closer to the ground, and that is the whole idea. The HERON Pro L80 pairs Flying Eagle's new urban platform with their longest low-rider frame — planted at speed, still quick to turn.
What changed is the connection between boot and frame. The H-Mount is a wide aluminium plate roughly three times the width of a conventional 165 mm block, so power spreads across far more of the foot and the frame sits noticeably lower — while staying 165 mm compatible, so you are not locked into a closed system. A sliding slot moves the frame fore and aft, and the underside of the shell carries wheel-clearance grooves that drop the ride height further and stiffen the boot against twist.
The hinged cuff has an overlapping front flap that supports the ankle while still flexing forward progressively, with two buckle positions and a recessed receptor so a fall will not pop it open. The 45° ratchet powerstrap sits on a flexible base, spreading pressure across both sides of the strap rather than one point, and micro-adjusts to lock the heel down.
Best for: urban skating and city cruising — fast freeride and long sessions, where stability at speed matters more than tricks.

📏FE Heron Pro w ZERO Liner Size Chart
The Flying Eagle HERON Pro, fitted with the low-volume ZERO liner, runs on a half-size ladder — each shell covers a 2-size EU bracket. Measure your foot length in cm (Mondo) and match it to the bracket below; the US columns show Men's and Women's. The standard HERON SF60 with the H5 liner uses a different, full-size chart.
How to measure: Place your foot flat against a wall on a sheet of A4 paper. Draw a line at the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance to the edge of the paper — that cm value is the size to match.
| Foot (cm) | EU | US (M) | US (W) | UK | Shell | Shell length |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 23 – 24 | 36.5 – 37.5 | 5 – 5.5 | 6 – 6.5 | 4 – 4.5 | XS | 24.2 cm |
| 24.5 – 25 | 38.5 – 39.5 | 6 – 7 | 7 – 8 | 5 – 6 | S | 25.5 cm |
| 25.5 – 26.5 | 40.5 – 41.5 | 7.5 – 8 | 8.5 – 9 | 6.5 – 7 | M | 26.8 cm |
| 27 – 28 | 42.5 – 43.5 | 9 – 10 | 10 – 11 | 8 – 9 | L | 28.1 cm |
| 28.5 – 29 | 44.5 – 45 | 10.5 – 11 | 11.5 – 12 | 9.5 – 10 | XL | 29.4 cm |
Width Guide
The HERON last is a Wide fit — Flying Eagle built it with an extra-wide toe box and a medium arch, and it runs true to size.
Width
The HERON is a Wide fit (see the Width Guide above) with a heel that still holds — it is aimed at skaters who find conventional hardboots pinch. Match your foot length in cm (Mondo) to a bracket above.
Fitting for COMFORT
Buy the bracket your foot falls in. The ZERO liner is dense rather than plush — it will not pack out much, so how it feels on day one is close to how it stays.
Fitting for PERFORMANCE
Consider the lower bracket. ZERO's high-density foam takes up less room than a conventional liner, and that freed space is exactly why many skaters size down into it for a closer connection to the shell.
Shell
The same flush-bottom hard boot and one-piece Soulframe as the SF60, with a removable cuff on a hinge screw. Each shell covers a 2-size EU bracket.
Liner
ZERO premium liner — high-density, low-volume foam, seamless inside, with silicone grip under the sole and around the ankle to stop heel lift, and stretch panels at heel and toe.
Insoles
Ships with the arch-supported Pro insole, plus a size-reducer insole that takes about 5 mm off the internal length — place it under the insole or the liner if you fall between brackets.
✓ How it should feel
Snug all round, toes reaching the front and just brushing it, the heel locked down once the cuff is closed, and no movement side to side.
✗ How it should NOT feel
Toes curling against the front, the heel lifting when you flex forward, or the foot sliding inside the shell — on an aggressive skate that costs you control on landings.
Size Chart Disclaimer. This chart reflects measurements supplied by Flying Eagle. The HERON Pro ships in dual sizes EU 36.5–45 (XS–XL). We cannot be held responsible for incorrect size purchases — when in doubt, message us before ordering.
